NEWS FROM THE FIRM

PCKB ATTORNEYS ARE EDITORS AND AUTHORS OF THE INITIAL EDITION OF LEXISNEXIS PRACTICE GUIDE: NORTH CAROLINA INSURANCE LITIGATION

LEXISNEXIS PUBLISHES ITS INITIAL EDITION OF LEXISNEXIS PRACTICE GUIDE: NORTH CAROLINA INSURANCE LITIGATION

Toward the end of January 2018, LexisNexis published LexisNexis Practice Guide: North Carolina Insurance Litigation (2018 Edition). We believe it is the first book that is devotedly solely to insurance litigation in North Carolina. Rick Pinto is the General Editor, and Ken Kyre and Deb Bowers are Assistant Editors. Each PCKB attorney wrote at least one chapter for the book, and some of the attorneys wrote multiple chapters. We are honored that LexisNexis asked us to put this book together. The PCKB attorneys have been involved in insurance-related litigation matters for most of their careers, and so writing the book was a good fit for us. (We were pleased that several attorneys from other firms agreed to contribute several chapters.)

As indicated by Rick Pinto in his Introduction to the book, we hope that anyone reading the book will find it to be a helpful resource. We have attempted to outline the law for each topic and to give some practical advice in litigating those insurance matters, as well as to give the reader some authorities to review and direction for further research. The specific chapters of the 400-page book are:
