KEN KYRE RECEIVES DEFENSE ASSOCIATION’S ELSTER AWARD FOR PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE

At this summer’s annual meeting of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys (NCADA), Ken Kyre received the J. Robert Elster Award for Professional Excellence. As noted on the NCADA website (http://ncada.org/News/6347870), the Elster Award “recognizes NCADA members who exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and ethics and who conduct themselves in a civil, courteous manner with all persons. The recipient must exemplify sustained excellent service to individual and corporate defendants in civil litigation, to the Bar and to the community.” Ken is the 16th recipient of the award.

The NCADA is a professional organization established in 1977 and currently has nearly 900 attorneys who devote a majority of their time representing the interests of companies and individuals in civil litigation. The NCADA is committed to enhancing the skills, effectiveness, and professionalism of civil trial lawyers, as well as anticipating and addressing issues germane to defense lawyers and the civil justice system. Ken served as President of the NCADA during 2007-2008.
